Hello People!

We thought we’d reach out to share a couple of things with you.

First of all, Krozm has delivered the first proper installment of their documentary of Cut Copy’s quest to make their 3rd record. It is now recorded, mixed and just days away from being totally done, but this part shows the early days of the process, stepping into Dan Whitford’s recording studio and music room as early inspiration strikes. Lastly, following the amazing and humbling reception shown the band in Europe and the US over the past few months, the Cut Copy 2010 Festival show touches down on home turf for Parklife. CUT COPY FREE DOWNLOAD/ NEW TOUR DATES

There’s a lot going on in Cut Copy’s World. They have finished the recording of their new, as-yet-untitled, 3rd Album (due in early 2010), which they will mix with Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective) in Atlanta in August.

But before they do that, they have embarked on a world tour to play some new tunes and old favorites to festival-goers and clubbers alike.

In celebration of all this, the band have made a brand new song, “Where I’m Going,” available for the price of an email address. Go to their website (www.cutcopy.net), click the “Download A New Cut Copy Song” link, and you’re away. If you want it on vinyl, it will be released as a strictly limited, one-sided etched 7″ in August.

“Where I’m Going,” was described by the band as “inspired by realizing your mistakes, marching to the beat of the Timelords, gone away truths, the swagger of O’Riley and everything left unsaid. As we imagine what hell freezing over feels like and winter descends on our makeshift warehouse studio on the outskirts of Melbourne, we’re pleased to announce that the recording for Cut//Copy album three is now complete! We’ll be mixing it with Ben Allen as soon as we finish the shows below.
